Hydro energy is a clean, renewable and reliable energy source which converts kinetic energy from falling water into electricity, without consuming more water than is produced by nature. The most simplest method is by using wheels, which man invented 2000 years ago. From then, it has evolved with the advance in technology and the latest ones and very efficient in producing electric energy.
A good example of hydro energy is the fireman’s hose. It carries large amounts of water in a small pipe. The water in the pipe flows at very high velocity. This high velocity means an increase in the energy in the water exiting the hose, making it difficult to hold. Hence, two or more people control the hose.
Energy is available in every water source. energy may be in the form of motion or in the form of potential or both together. The way in which it is harnessed decides the usefulness of the source.
