Sun Energy Source

Like most of the stars, the energy of the sun is obtained within itself. The sun is made up of mostly hydrogen and helium atoms present in a plasma state. Nuclear fusion reaction takes place when the temperature and pressure are very high and by the time the hydrogen atoms are converted into helium atoms which release massive volume of energy which is radiated outward towards the sun surface and then into the solar system. It is a renewable energy. Every second, more than 4 million tonnes of matter are converted into energy inside the sun’s core and produce neutrinos and solar radiation.

Sun Energy , one of the most popular renewable sources of energy and widely used energy is obtained from the Sun which is present at the centre of the solar system. Since all the orbits of the planets are located around this sun, the system is named as Solar system. Early centuries scientists predicted that earth is at the centre but later on, the improvements in technology helped people to find out what is the truth. Though this solar energy is used widely, there exits a question, “ How is the sun producing this much energy and from where?” The answer lies with Sun itself. Isn’t it amazing? a particle is producing from itself.

Sun is basically composed of atoms of hydrogen. These hydrogen, when they collide with each other to form helium, they produce a massive amount of energy thus resulting in the heat production. when there is a massive heat produced, it results along with the emission of light also. For example, when we fire the stove for cooking food, the fire is produced over there because of the heat production which occurs due to the gas substance which we use . Similarly, it happens in sun also. along with the production of heat the fire is produced making the sun appear in a yellowish orange shade.

We could simply form an equation of this energy production as,

4H -> He + energy released.

that is, when fusion occurs, energy is also released, that is the reason why four hydrogen results in one helium. Where as three hydrogen is released as energy source.

4H -> He + energy released.

Sun energy is very important for the organisms in the earth to lead their daily life. From human to small species whether it is a insect or plant, sun energy is needed. Humans and animals require oxygen to breath. at the same time, the carbon dioxide exhaled from a human  or animal must be absorbed by the plants, whereas they give us oxygen in turn.  But how does plants produce oxygen? Without photosynthesis reaction, a plant would die and successive deaths of such plants would leave the earth, an  unfit place to live in for anyone. So the Sun is the most important and required basic thing in the earth.

But if we put a question that, whether the energy produced at the core of the sun is travelling to earth without any loss, the answer would be NO. Because, first of all, the humans on earth would not bare the high amount of energy, if obtained by earth and the other thing is when the energy travels from one place to another place, the energy loss would happen definitely, irrespective of what kind of energy it is. So, naturally it is clear that the energy at the core part of sun would be higher and when the heat is more, the white colour radiation is produced. So, now are you all aware of source of sun energy? Simple. Its due to collision of hydrogen atoms resulting as Helium.
